USE CASES

Situation

Ms. A. Müller, 45, Sales Manager, is preparing for a conference in a building near Barcelona, Spain, when she suddenly develops severe abdominal pain. In this emergency situation, she needs immediate medical support and guidance on how to proceed, which is why she presses the Traveo Emergency Button.

Solution

We coordinate Ms. Müller's transport to a nearby private hospital as quickly as possible. During her examination it becomes apparent that an urgent appendectomy is necessary. The surgery is performed immediately at the hospital. Ms. Müller does not have to worry about the costs incurred, as we settle these directly with her business travel insurance company.

Situation

Mr. B. Bucher, 38, Head of Finance of a small Swiss start-up, is in Paris to meet with potential investors. There are political demonstrations near his hotel, which turn into violent riots.

Solution

Thanks to monitoring by the Traveo app, Mr. Bucher is alerted and asked whether he is safe or needs help. During the demonstrations, he is in another part of Paris and therefore safe, but cannot return to his hotel. We immediately organize alternative hotel accommodation in a quieter area and ensure that his luggage is delivered to the new location as fast as possible.

Situation

Ms. C. Keller, 31, consultant, has to visit a client in New York, USA. On the way to the hotel, she is involved in a traffic accident and is taken to hospital with serious injuries. As the hospital costs are a multiple of what would be expected at home, basic insurance does not cover such amounts. Without being aware of what additional (corporate travel) insurance Ms. Keller has, no costs are approved and she is not accepted by the hospital.

Solution

We initially cover the costs incurred by Ms. Keller and then clarify the settlement with her company and the relevant insurance company. This ensures that Ms. Keller receives the necessary medical treatment without delay.

Situation

Mr. D. Schmid, 29, a lawyer, is in Turkey on business when a severe earthquake strikes the region. Although he is unharmed, he wants to leave the country as quickly as possible due to the unstable situation. However, the local transportation network is heavily disrupted by the natural disaster. In this emergency situation, he activates the Traveo Emergency Button.

Solution

We clarify various options and organise a seat for Mr. Schmid on a special flight to Istanbul. As his anxiety worsens, we send a team of specialised psychologists to take care of him on site. From there, we book him on the next possible flight back to Switzerland.

Situation

Ms. E. Amstutz, 60, a chef in an Asian restaurant, travels to Thailand to be inspired by the local cuisine. There she contracts an infection and faces the challenge of finding a reliable hospital in the area. Medical care in this rural region is very limited and language barriers exist.

Solution

We organize a transport for Ms. Amstutz to an internationally recognized hospital where she receives the necessary medical care. After her condition has deteriorated, we decide, in consultation with the treating doctors, to repatriate her back to Switzerland. A medical escort service is arranged for the journey home to provide Ms. Amstutz with the best possible care during the flight.
